Quarto. xxiv, 376p. Illustrated with chromolithographed title page by H. Wilson highlighted in gilt, text printed with decorative borders in colors, steel-engraved frontispiece portrait and 25 full-page steel engravings by William Harvey engraved by the Dalziel brothers. Bound in original Victorian publisher's binding by Rowley & Evans in full morocco, a.e.g., the spine and covers with intricate pictorial embossed designs in gilt and colors, orange pattern endpapers.

Hopkins (1820-1891) was the Bishop of Vermont and wrote the Christmas hymn We Three Kings. Not in Bennett or Reese.
