With an accomplished and well-detailed fore-edge painting of a coaching scene. In a contemporary binding of full black morocco, a.e.g., the spine with gilt titles and panel ornaments, the coves with small gilt rolled borders featuring flowers and birds. Binding scuffed with bumped corners and surface scratches, contents lilghtly soiled. All sound and perhaps VG- but with the lovely fore-edge painting. Item #22362
