Firth, Marks, and others with 57 fine full-page steel engravings, including frontispieces and vignette title pages. Bound in publisher's binding by E. Walker's Son, 14 Dey St., NY in full brown embossed pebbled morocco over beveled boards with marbled endpapers, a.e.g., the spines in six panels with raised bands, the panels with gilt titles and panel ornaments in gilt and black with decorative rules on the bands, the covers with a series of frames in black with cornerpieces containing portraits of characters in gilt roundels, the centers with large illustrated frame containing the titles and surmounted by a bust of Shakespeare, fancy dentelles. A very fine copy of this massive work as brilliant as when new. Item #21184
