Bound in the publisher's full black morocco over beveled boards with marbled endpapers, all edges in gilt gauffered in a crosshatched pattern with small florets, the spine in six panels with gilt tiles and floriate panel work, the covers with overall interlacing designs in gilt featuring a central vignette of Knickerbocker. Minor interior spotting and a small bump to text block corner, the covers remarkably fresh with trifling wear. Bookplate. Item #21461
