THE WORKS OF LORD BYRON.

London: John Murray, 1819.

Early collected edition. Three volumes. xv, 479p; (iv), 491p, (ii); viii, 330p, (ii).69p. Bound in period full medium brown straight grain morocco, a.e.g., the spines in five panels with gilt titles and elaborate decoration in the panels and on the wide bands. Each volume with a double fore-edge painting; we think it is likely by the "Double-line Painter". Although the double lines are not present above and below the painting titles, the titles are precisely printed on the flyleaf in a tiny hand. All six painting are expertly executed, most featuring buildings or bridges with harbors or lakes in the foreground. Bindings with some wear, but all quite sound and presentable in a supplied cloth slipccase. The painings are all fine. Item #21531

Scenes depicted:
Vol. I. Richmond Bridge - Clovelly Harbour
Vol. II. Chelsea Hospital - Warwick
Vol. III. Maldon, Essex - Medmenham Abbey.

Price: $4,000.00
