Illustrated with engraved portrait frontispiece facing a cartouche facsimile of the first edition title, a river scene, six small engravings of fish and two pages of music, the second printed upside down as called for. Bound in full patterned calf with marbled endpapers, t.e.g., the spine with red and green title labels gilt, the panels with gilt ornaments and angling devices, the covers with elaborate rolled frames.
