Bookplate of N. MacEacharn.
Hubert-Francois-Bourguignon (1699-1773), called Gravelot.
Among the many of his outstanding works are Bickham's Musical Entertainer, and the Hanmer and Theobald's editions of Shakespeare.

"The elegance of Gravelot's designs has been remarked by nearly every critic who has written about him... The Goncourts... claiming the 'by the time he departed from England, the native elegance of his drawing, in which a memory of Wattteau is reflected, had attained during his long stay [in England] a complementary finish of English elegance.'" (Ray. French. Vol. I, p. 37.).
