Rebound without the final ads in full brown morocco, painted and gilt, the spine vertically titled in gilt, the covers with a black frame outlined with decorative rules, the central panel in a diapered pattern alternating rows of black compartments with silver fleur-de-lys and brown compartments with gold fleur-de-lys, the endpapers of colorful flowers highlighted in gold, all edges gilt and gauffered with repeating rosettes. Repaired crack to the upper joints, minor rubbing, but an attractive and unusual binding. Item #23899
